A friend from work has a chocolate lab that got "locked up" with the neighborhood boxer bulldog and needless to say he has a lot puppies to give away now. Does anyone have experience with labrador/bulldog mixes? What are their temperaments as a mix? How big do they normally get? How much do they eat?

My friend has one that he got from the local shelter. His is a female and she weights about 75 lbs. She is big like a lab, but really stocky like the bulldog. I think that he goes through about 40lbs of dog food a month, and she is very stubborn. She is really active like the lab, but she is stubborn like the bulldog. Part of it may be because she was not a puppy when he got her and she didn't receive any training previous to him owning her. She is a sweet dog that likes to please, as long as it pleases her too.

I haven't had that mix, but i had a pitbull/ rottweiler mix female
(pit-rot )named Grace and she was very protective of me and my son. Whenever "dad" came around she'd attack him and if she was out and he pulled into the drive she'd jump on the hood and stare him down.snarling.She has been the mellowist dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning. My son slept on her all the time and she didn't care. She had better insstinct than me when it came to men.
They are both pretty big dogs when grown and stocky if theres more pit in them. But if you treat the pup right it will defend you any way possible. They have been misrepresented with the media and are not bad dogs, just bad peeps raised them is all

yeah i have to go with the previous post. a large active stubborn dog. workable though.
