The question is pretty much self-explanatory. Are there any stores in Beijing that sell like American deordorants or toothpaste or facial washes, things of that nature? If so, are they reasonably priced or sky-rocket high? Where are the stores located?

Yes, there are several stores, and the prices range from Decent (most items) ----> A-bit-too-expensive (generally luxury items). Of course, if you really need it, I'm sure you can find a way to justify the price.

1st Place
On WangFuJing street there is the Oriental Plaza, and in the basement of this place there is a great western grocery store. There is also a "Watsons" in this mall, and that would be a good place for cosmetics, and a very limited selection of deoderents, for a reasonable price. There are many hotels on or near this street, so it might be a easy walk, or, you can take to subway, which has a stop directly underneath this shopping center. All the subway maps will list the stop as "WangFuJing" and I believe it is on the redline (line2, or "loop line")

2nd Place
Two subway stops east of wangfujing is a subway transfer station. If you exit to the street from here and go east along the main street for block or two, you will come to the Friendship store on the north side. This place is a little outdated (it used to be the only place foreigners could shop along long time ago) but you might find a few things you won't see anywhere else.

3rd place
This is where my memory starts to fail.... its either 2 or 3 more stops east of where the last store was. But it is the "China world Shopping Mall" which is right next to the third ring road on the map. This place has to office towers, and a big western type shopping center in the basement. Here you will find a great grocery store, and tons of expensive clothing..... also a subway (the sandwich store)

Don't bother with Walmart/ Carfour etc. you won't find what your looking for.

If you need more info, contact me. I'm not at my computer right now, so I don't have access to all the info I have... i had to go by memory.

Yes, they are many stores in Beijing sell toothpaste, facial washes, but deordorants is not like toothpaste that you can find everywhere. The price is reasonable. You can buy a toothpaste at around 2 US dollar. Beijing is a large city, it is not easy to say where the stores located, it depends where you are going to stay. Normally, there are supermarkets near the local residents living area.

Being could be the capital of China and also its political, economic, and national middle and you have the opportunity to see it now, search with hotelbye . Beijing is definitely one of the very visited cities in the world. Annually, countless visitors arrived at Beijing to see the truly amazing blend of old and new. Beijing is really a town for several seasons. You can generally find anything for you no real matter what time you are in Beijing and whatever your interests are. It does take time to take pleasure from exactly what Beijing Town provides but definitely you cannot eliminate the chance to see Tiananmen Square. Located in one's heart of Beijing, Tiananmen Square is the website for substantial parades and rallies and the largest square of this sort in the world.

Yes,you do find some from the US, but the choice is limited, and the price astronomically high. The local products, made mostly buy Proctor & Gamble are equally good therefore you will not miss out much really.A good choice is available in the Friendship Stores,Jenny Lou's,Carrefour,WalMart etc in Beijing.

There is a store called Watsons which sells a cheap roll on deodorant ( 10 -15 rmb ) - easiest location to find is in the oriental plaza at wangfujing ....jenny lou, carrefour, wallmart, ect....sell those things but they are expensive....if you mean facial washes like " wet wipes " they are available everywhere - try any supermarket....you pays for what ya get in general - western goods at slightly inflated western prices - try and go " local" when you eat and you'll save bigtime...i treat myself occasionally to western products but generally buy chinese goods...
