I assume you mean intimate relationship, not personal (if you are best friends, it's already quite personal)...it can be a great thing, or it can ruin a friendship....it depends on the people involved.

No matter what though, if it doesn't workout, the friendship will be changed forever...perhaps not in a negative way, but after you've been intimate there will always be something different about the friendship when compared to a time before that occured...if the friendship is maintained....

This could be the kewlest love of your life though...there's no way to know until you take that chance...you both just have to decide if it's worth the risk if things happen to not work out.

Sometimes it doesn't work and the two are better off as platonic friends, but sometimes relationships between two best friends turn out to be the best. I say make a move! If it doesn't work you can go back to just being friends; it might be awkward at first but since you were so close to begin with you'll get over it. But go for it if it feels right! You might regret it if you don't.

Of course you can have a relationship between two best friends.. Nothing wrong with it. However if you are meaning an affair, well.. don't begin unless you are sure how the other person feels about it. Test the grounds by simple questions and you may understand his/her feelings

If you guys truly like each other give it a try. Before having a relationship you guys should talk and agree to still be friends even if something happens. I say go for it.

What better person to have a relationship with?
You know each others likes and dislikes, you don't have to pretend to be something your not. Give it a shot- if the relationship works, great. If not- hopefully you'll still be friends.

It is the only relationship that works. You must cling to the friendship and always protect it from harm, no matter what the emotions of the moment bring. Dont lose the honesty and spontaneity of the friendship... enhance it with the goodies that you dont share now. PERFECTION.

yea, there is a posibilty that you can have a relationship with your best friend, becuz if girl and a guy knows each other for so long, then maybe in awhile they might realized that they can be more than just a friend.Thats why we become friends with them first, get to know them really well. But sometimes the other they just don't want to ruined there friendship, but if you really like her and stuff just tell her how you feel before its to late

well if you really think it would work for awhile sure go ahead but if theres any chance that it wont work out then dont take that chance, a lot of friendships are ruined with relationships. so if you really think itll work out and you wanna take the chance go ahead but let it be known that it might not end well and you might lose your best friend.

I think is not a good idea to have a personal relation with your bestt friend because maybe she wont treat you seriously that is why having a serious relation with a bes friend is not a good idea, but is your decision, she is a girl right?

Are you kidding? It's the best idea! Your "mate" should be your best friend. What could be better? Just make it clear that if the "lovey-dovey" part doesn't work out that you'll remain friends. Go with your heart.
