I love kids but I don't want to be a mother?

I am 21 Chinese girl but I still feel a kid at heart
I watch cartoons and play dolls.
My mother said I need to think about get marry and be a mother now because all the Chinese women need to have kids.
I don't think I can be a good mother because I don't even know how to take care myself.
How can I till my mom that I don't want kids

I think U are afraid of taking responsibility, I don't know how to go over that if not by taking more responsibilities but you are 21, u still have 20 years to think about it, and be safe, watching cartoons has nothing to do with be a kid, besides cartoons are created by adults, not kids!!!!

Mothers will always be mothers! They want to ensure that you get married to the right man, well taken care of, have kids, etc... However, wanting or wishing is one thing and being realistic is another. You don't have to be overly concern about what your mother wants or thinks. What is most important is this is your life and only you will know what you want. Since you're not married, it's no point telling your mom now that you don't want kids or that your not prepared to be a mother. Let her have a say. You just go about doing what is right. However, at age 21 it's time you drop those cartoon stuffs or else you may never grow up.

Well, you may not want to have them now, but who's to say that you may not want them in the future? At 21, I would think that you could draw the line between what you want for yourself right now and what your mom wants for you. Explain to her that you're living your life according to what you need right now, but you have no idea what the future will bring you. Maybe if she lets up a bit, you may eventually start thinking about marrying and having kids one day.

I think your right one does have to know how to take care of themselves first. You are still very young , enjoy life now. In time you may want to settle down and have children. If you don't that's okay too. Mom's always want to "rush" their daughters because it has and will always be there way of life. Have a talk with her and let her know you have yet to mature yourself and lots of time yet.. You are doing fine enjoy your life.

You don't need to say anything just yet, your opinions may change. If they don't you still have the right to choose whether or not you have children. We should all respect our parents but they don't have the right to make decisions for us once we're grown.
