That whole idea truly sux.
Atheists would still be worshipping no one, and Christians wouldn't either--if they knew that satan was the only one around.

Satan really exists and he is a god. 2 Corinthians 4:4
"Satan who is the god of this world has blinded the eyes of those who do not believe."

first of all, the devil was created as an angel by GOD, he chose to rebel against GOD and with the %'age of angels that ran w/him; they were kicked out of Heaven. Now the devil can only imitate GOD, he can never be GOD. Your mother and father played a key role in creating you, but that doesn't mean that you could ever BE them, only an imitation of them. I say that to say nothing good can come from one that is sheer evil...and to the one that mention the Bible being written by the devil...what Bible are you reading? The Bible is filled w/ words to educate, inform, encourage and forewarn. That is a great thing for us, GOD's creation. We are more valuable to Him then anything He has created (because we have the ability to CHOOSE to love Him). the devil can do nothing but be negative and destructive and he is the father of lies (it's in the Bible). He is the ruler of the earth because he can never return to Heaven and he introduce sin into the earth, and thus thru Eve. I would rather live my life like GOD exist, die and find out He doesn't, then to live my life like He doesn't exist, then die and find out He does. Bless you!

I'm not sure about atheism . . . I don't think I would have enough *faith* to be an atheist!
All of us: atheist, agnostic, Buddhist, Christian, evolutionist, gnostic, Hindu, Jew, Mason, Mormon, Muslim, Tree-Hugger, etc., have a "Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun"!
If my brothers and sisters in Christ and I are right, we shall spend Eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! *I* would *not* want to take the *extreme* risk of worshipping: *no* god, not *even* be sure *whom* I should worship, or worship Buddha, or *Mother Earth*, a Savior without any body or earthly experience as a human, *every* living creature, the Masonic "god", the Mormon "god", the Muslim "god", or Lilith!
"*Every* knee shall bow and *every* tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord . . . "!

No. Then you wouldn't have the existence of good on earth. Hell would exist and we'd all be burning at this point.
I think the way its explained in Genesis, Isaiah, Ezekial, etc. is that Lucifer was God's favorite of the higher angels or archangels. Lucifer sinned 3 times before God cast him out.
The archangels had free will and were blessed by God and allowed to dwell in heaven and descend to the mountain of God when they wanted.
Then God said on the 6th day, "Let us make man in our image", I presume referring to Lucifer his chosen, and the other archangels. God gave man free will and let man dwell in the land of Eden.
Lucifer became jealous because God loved man too.
It is at this point that he sins for the first time against God and tempts Eve and then Adam to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree (of knowledge). God casts Adam and Eve out of Eden and into the rest of the world. Still God lets Lucifer stay in his place, but then Lucifer schemes to depose God and take over. After Lucifer teaches Cain to kill (strike two), and then his adoption of the sin of pride against God's will, God casts Lucifer and 1/3rd of the angels into the fiery pit.
So Lucifer or satan may exist, but he is not God. He is less than God and his fellow angels are alleged to be demons.

Couldn't happen. The devil comes only to kill, rob and destroy. If God wasn't restraining him, you, me, and the rest of humanity would already be dead. The fact that you are still alive to ask questions like this proves that God is merciful, and is keeping satan from sifting you like wheat.
Worship Jesus. He is the Real Thing! Jesus came to give us life, and life more abundantly.

How do you know he isn't. Take a look at Yahweh the "god" of the Old Testament.
Soga, how do you know Satan didn't write the Bible and fill it with lies? Sounds like something he would do.
