We got married last May, and as my husband worked in landscaping, we couldn't take much time off for the honeymoon. Because of this, we chose Toronto for a long weekend. It's about a 3 hour drive from where we live and we found a great B&B right near a subway stop to get us around town easily. There were tons of things to do there, and lots of great food. We actually did quite a lot in the time we were there... saw Blue Man Group, went up the CN Tower, visited the Hockey Hall of Fame, went to a Blue Jays game, and ate at some great spots!

I went to Spain & my husband went to Italy.
Only kidding!
We actually both went to the Balearic Island of Mallorca (beautiful island just off the coast of Spain) for a week only, unfortunately.
We had a lot of fun over there together even though I wasn't in love with him but I liked him so that was good enough for me at the time.
When we arrived at our designated hotel around 2 am, there wasn't a room assigned to us, for some unknown reason, so we ended up in Room 0 right next to the maid's closet, can you believe this?!?
I hope you can because it's the God honest truth buddy!
For a pair of honeymooners, it's not exactly ideal but I guess that's the punishment you get for marrying someone you don't love, right?
My original choice was Ireland (Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!) but my now ex-husband said there wasn't any package holidays for that destination so I eventually agreed to accompany him to Mallorca, even though I had been there about ten times before with my parents but it's such a beautiful place filled with so many of my unforgettable childhood memories that I was quite looking forward to it, actually, and also keen to leave behind England's dreary autumn weather ( we got married at the end of September and our honeymoon lasted until the end of the first week of October).
How about you?
Are you already married or planning a wedding & a wonderful honeymoon too?
Where did you go on your honeymoon or where do you wish to go?
Good luck to you if you are & I hope you won't end up like me: DIVORCED!!!
P.S. Thanks for reminding me of that small detail, by the way!

I did not have a honeymoon when I got married. I went back to work the day after the wedding. We were both in college and were really broke. My hubby's parents were pretty rich but they didn't help out at all. When I think of this, I am still upset about it.

We had no money and were very young. I knew a guy in Somerset UKwho collected scrap metal and he said he would we could stay in his house with his family for free for a fortnight if we worked those couple of weeks for him. We had a great time out collecting the scrap from dawn to dusk and have never forgotten his family or the honeymoon. It was a wonderful time.

Almost 6 years ago, we honeymooned in the Southwest, stayed in Scottsdale, AZ in a suite at the Fairmont Princess and lived like royalty for a week!! We swam and hiked Sedona and had a ball...it was July and the off-season...perfect for a private honeymoon couple

We are getting married abroad in Jamaica, but official honeymoon won't take place till the following year... it will be Maldives.
Why - that is where we always wanted to get married, but due to only finding 1 hotel that does weddings - the Hilton.. we couldn't afford it, so we have settled to go on our honeymoon...

The first time I got married I went to Spain as we had very little money and just wanted to go somewhere hot and sunny, Spain was an affordable option. I went back to work the day after I got married the second time around, we saved for 3 years to go to Jamaica.

I am not married yet but in 4 months we will be going to a nearby bed and breakfast for 2 days. I live in the midwest so there is a little less exciting things to do. I also have 2 children so we do not want to be away from the kids for too long.

Let's see, the first marriage we went to Panama City Beach, Florida and spent a weekend sunning on those glorious sugar sand beaches.
Now, the one I'm planning in May '07, we're going to Appalachicola, Florida and will be sunning at Cape San Blas a few miles away.
I just love the beach, the sun, fresh seafood and the various shops you have to browse thru, everything is just laid back and relaxed at the beach.

Not married yet but we're going to Italy to get married so we'll have it there. Fiance will be happy anywhere relaxing (especially if Sky Sports or equivalent is available!) and I'd like somewhere with a swimming pool and/or nearby beach!
