You know, of course, that many Protestants would say that there are Protestants that are not Christian, just as they might say that many Catholics are not Christians. You see, the issue is not what title a person carries, it is what they believe.

Which takes us back in history, not just to the Council of Nicea, but biblical times. The New Testament is filled with accounts of "religious people" whom Jesus and the Apostles claimed were not right with God, i.e. not Christians.

The same was true in the pre-Nicean age. Justin Martyr, Tertullian, Irenaeus, Clement and many others often questioned the spiritual integrity of those professing Christianity but failing to believe Biblical truth and live for Christ.

On the other hand, since Nicea, there are many throughout history leading up to the Reformation that believed the truth, though not always the same way the Reformers did. Athanasius, Augustine, Jerome, Chrysostom, Anselm, Wycliffe, Hus, and a whole lot more, loved God's Word and lived for Christ.

So, the issue is not whether Catholics or Protestants are Christians - the issue is truth, and whether truth matters over religious affiliation.

By the way, why do you use CE if you are interested in knowing about whether Jesus Christ saves people? Since our calendar is based on Christ's life, then don't be afraid to use BC and AD.

Catholic means universal taken from the Greek word "Katolos". It is what was instituted by Jesus Christ himself wanting to make the Jewish God to be God of all people who will join them. Catholic carry the name of Christ and his teachings from the very start to the present time, so how can anyone be so ignorant of disclaiming them to be Christians? Christians was called by its name because of Christ. In reality Christians at present are called the "PROTESTANT" who formed their own church outside of the Catholics because of their differences of opinion in Christ' teachings and traditions.
Havent' you heard of the beast with ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns? ........One of the heads seemed to have had fatal wound, but the fatal wound have been healed. (Who was it that was severely punished and thought of being dead, then was alive again afterwards) The whole world was astonished and followed that beast......boastfully the beast even asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?"..Whether you take out the Catholic as Christians, you still. cannot deny the fact that you are what the Book of Revelation 13 is talking about.

what does 325 have to do with it? Protestants accept the Nicene Council (and creed) too.

No, no one has ever gone to hell, it doesn't exist outside of mythological texts. That is why god has not intervened, he is also a myth.

Nonsense. Catholics go to heaven. Jesus died for all of our sins. They accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. : )

The Bible is reliable. : )
