When he is in a relationship with someone it is ok because I no he is out of bounds, and I can cope. But he has recently split up with his girlfriend. I was the first person he came to. Now that he is single again this then causes me to hope that something might happen between us! But I know nothing will happen at the same time. I compare all other dates to him, I just can't seem to move on. I don't want to lose him as a friend. I would rather have him as a friend than nothing at all. What should I do?

Oh, I feel your pain. I was in love with a good friend, too. Unfortunately you can't make him love you, if he doesn't. Tell him your feelings (friends must be honest) but if he doesn't reciprecate the feeling, let it go. Do not humiliate yourself trying to win him over. Believe me, it makes the whole thing worse. Staying friends would be nice... and works better if you havent' made a big fool of yourself trying to win him over. Take a break from him if you need to, sometimes space and time help. You are right... having him as a friend is better than nothing.

dont worry. All you need to do is put on some makeup, do something with your hair, just pretty up. And drop a few hints lik, " theres a new movie that I would love to see." Then, he will catch the hint, and ask you too the movies. Am I smart or what?

Stop daydreaming about him and set your sights on someone who will return your affections! Stop wasting your time with a guy who does not want to be with you. He will think that you are desperate! Go find someone who is into you and is asking you out because you are a great person to be with! Come on life is too short! Get yourself out there and be happy..flirt....find someone else!
