Due to severe malnutrition, such as that seen in many third-world countries, it is called "marasmus", and may lead to loss of greater than 60% of body weight, purely from muscle catabolism secondary to the starvation-state.

Anorexics burn their kidneys out.... the body breaks down skeletal muscle with a protein deficit, obviously.

Addendum: I want to change my answer! I agree with the atrophy. But rhabdomyolysis is way more fun to say! (and more interesting) :)

Complete wasting is called Atrophy.

Lazyness? The amount of muscle cells one has is fixed. Muscles get bigger and smaller. The cell count doesnt really change.
