The thing is, you can eat what you want..but make your portions small. You can have a cheeseburger, french fries..but eat half of the burger, and only some of the fries.
That way you can have whatever you want, but only in small portions..The moment that you get full ,stop eating..
Allow yourself 2 days out of the week to eat whatever you want but still small portions..
Like for example..if you wanna eat healthy 7 days , you dont have to. You can take any 2 days, like the weekend or something, to eat all fattening foods, but still small portions.
Then the other days, eat low fat foods..eat all wheat, and whole wheat stuff..put flax seed on your salads, eat lots of salads.. but remember SMALL PORTIONS..
and lift weights 3 or 2 days a week.

Personally , there is no such thing as a diet . It is all about a change in your eating habits .
Relate to your food groups you learned in school , eat healthy . I'm a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and have kept it off , its all about portions . And when you eat according to your food groups you have alot to eat , you will be surprise , sometimes it seems you cant eat it all , its so much . Its hard for people to understand , but you must eat to loose weight . when you don't your metabolism slows down and doesn't burn as much fat .
And yes it is also good to exercise each day little by little and drink plenty of water , unless you retain water , consult your Dr. on that .
The hardest thing for people to do is plan meals but if you plan it all in 1 day , what you will make for the week it does make it easier . And yes , even if you are on the go it can be done .
I wish you luck .

No you definitely don't want to be hard on yourself for this. You will find that most people suggest that to be successful on a diet you should build at least one "cheat day" in per week. When you are dieting and working out everyday your body starts to adjust to it and you can form a sort of eating disorder as you are so set on going to the gym. Some people actually start feeling real bad about themselves if they eat the wrong thing or skip a day at the gym. While this can help you reach your goals it is not really healthy.

You are being way to hard on yourself .. Every now and then if you don't reward yourself, you wil get burned out on dieting.
Just go back to your healthy habits tomorrow. Everything will be fine. You didn't hurt a thing. My Dr. told me that maybe once every couple of months, to go out for pizza, a burger. Not over do it but just reward myself for loosing weight and changing my lifestyle & eating habits. It works really well.
Good Luck with your diet & weight loss..it's a hard journey but well worth it in the end!

No, you shouldn't be hard on yourself. It's not a disaster or anything. Ease off. And just go back to your diet with the next meal. No biggie. You will NEVER be perfect on a diet. NEVER. So you might as well give up that idea right now. No one ever has.

Forgive yourself first, be nice to your body.
When you fail, treat it as you would treat a child who is learning how to walk. Whe she falls, you don't scold her or get mad at her. You encourage when she is trying and cheer when she succeeds. When she falls you pick her up, give a kiss and encourage her to try again, as many times as she falls. Soon she will be walking without falling.

The same will go for you baby, keep walking. I am rooting for you.

A kiss from another Latino.

I belive that if you've been trying very hard to work with your diet that you should reward yourself here and there, but you cannot make this a habit as you might then get too addicted to the foods and will ditch your diet

first of all - you cant work out every day of the week - your body needs one day to repair muscles.
second - you have to do light weight training so you wouldnt loose your muscles but made them nice and lean
so what? you indulged a little for a day...you will do better tomorrow. dont be so hard on yourself.

Being tough on your self developes resolve to achieve the goals you aspire to reach. Just dont linger on your 'small' failures, FOCUS on your 'big' Achievments.

Slipping now and then is no big deal, just dont allow it to become a cycle.
