is there anything like alcohol or something that I can put on him?? I see a little bit of fresh blood and I am scared of an infection. His vet is at an emergency so i am posting here meanwhile

I would not recommend alcohol because it burns like crazy, but you can put hydrogen peroxide on it. It will foam up, but it does not burn really bad. You can also use any other wound disinfectants that are marked for human use, just check and make sure that the main ingredient is not isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). If it is small there is nothing to worry about, and the chance of infection is fairly slim.

NO do nothing! Oh my the dog would hit the roof if you put alcohiol on the wound!
Just get a clean damp cloth and dab the blood. Then wait for the vet to call you back.

just keep it clean and put hydrogen peroxide on it to dry it up and heal it it will not hurt the dog
