What evidence is there that god is a "good thing?" :)
You were off to a good start...the concept of god is nonsense. Period. You don't need to go on about good vs. evil, you can just leave it at that.
Any all-knowing all-powerful god would have seen "satan" coming, and prevented him from doing evil things. That people believe in an all-knowing, all-powerful god yet buy into the stories about a "war in heaven" is amazing...anybody all-knowing couldn't be surprised by anyone's actions, and could easily prevent any such "war." If their god is what they say he is, the existence of "satan" and indeed any evil is ridiculous in the extreme.
Then again, since there is no evidence of any kind that there is any such thing as god...belief in such a thing itself is ridiculous in the extreme. So I guess if you're already being ridiculous, might as well go ahead and be MORE ridiculous :)
Peace.

Absolutely not. The concept of God is not directly associated or dependent on the need to fix bad things. It's origination resides on the premise that there is a first beginning (regardless if evolution explains the pattern of our existence, evolution still cannot explain a first beginning or first mover). Essentially, the bad entity, as religion has it was a rebellion of certain angles who did not want to accept the creation of humanity because it was a place higher then the angels, and they wanted none of it.

basically have a glance on the circulation of the solar, planets, moon and stars. it will be some thing that managed by ability of someone. I recommend, even the hot tech can't administration that circulation. shall we've a glance on the straightforward get at the same time, the upward thrust of flora. in case you making use of the finest fabric (ex: the finest seeds, or the finest fertilizer), if the organic problem isn't helping so the plant received't turning out to be sure? like the movements of planets and so on, this problem is managed by ability of someone. And our question is, who's someone? who's the author? in case you suggested our galaxy replaced into regularly going on because of massive bang, what makes vast bag going on billions years in the past? Why that good sized bag is befell? back to the fact, it will be managed by ability of someone. From that actuality, i imagine it may be inferred that someone is "God". i am hoping my clarification will carry reward for us.

This is an example of a dualist approach to theodicy (the problem of suffering and evil). A dualist approach implies that the world is best understood as a conflict between two competing forces, good and evil. Naturally, who "we" are in this dichotomy is self evident.
You could probably trace this idea in montheistic traditions right back to Zoroaster.
It is a very common way of resolving the question, but is very dangerous in a world where we have nuclear weapons (and suicide bombers). It's unfortunate that it seems to be the worldview not only of the US administration but of many of its counterparts in the Islamic world.
There are many other approaches, even within monotheist traditions. See the link below:

Probably a good point. People do bad things, do normal things and do extraordinarily nice things, and those human traits were transferred back thousands of years ago in early civilizations into concepts of good and bad, so of course whoever made everything must be good, so someone must be causing agony, disaster and sickness--bad guy.

Not really. But if you think about it, with free will comes the ability to choose evil. Evil is the lack of good, which is biblically defined as whatever is consistent with God's will.
God could exist without Satan, but Satan can't exist without God. Why? Because God gave the angels the ability to think for themselves; free will and self-identification are mutually dependent. Satan chose to oppose God, God didn't make Satan evil.

Nope, it makes no sense at all. No super hero can exist without a super villain. Morality could not exist without immorality, and God could not exist without the Devil. The contrast is what makes it all possible and interesting.

Do you make the claim that God created evil?
No not at all. it is a choice that each of us gets to make on our own. We either accept or reject the Word of God. Doesn't matter if you believe or not, it doesn't take away from His existence.
Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.
But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.
If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.
The Good Person Test.
How will you do? Pass or fail?
Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?
Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?
Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?
Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?
See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?
If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.
Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.
The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

I would say its a matter of terminology. Good (God) - Evil (Devil). That would be a black and white world. The world is not thus. It just IS.
