Who or what convinced you to believe in God?

Do you regret your decision? If so why?

As an atheist, I sat down to read the Bible and prove it wrong while in college, in 1995.

After about a week of growing frustrated and literally falling asleep while trying to read Genesis, I flipped over to the "New Testamant", not knowing what it was. Going through 42 generations at the beginning of Matthew didn't help matters, but then I happened upon "the Birth of Jesus Christ"

I was intrigued that this Jesus charactered entered the story this far into the book (the Bible) that supposedly centered around Him.

That night, I ended up reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John...literally in awe of Jesus and the story of His crucifixion and resurrection. Terrified, overwhelmed, excited, and full of joy at the same time...I broke down in tears by the end, weeping buckets before God.

"Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the WORD OF CHRIST"...

Regret? HA! I regret it took me so long to take a serious look at the Bible for myself. But it is God who reveals Himself, even as He revealed Himself to me that glorious night.

And absolutely...I share the glorious Gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ with all that I know, ever searching for opportunities to invite others (Zechariah 3:10) and warn others (Ezekiel 3:17-21)!

May His name be glorified in all the earth!

1. I did not choose to believe. I choose to stop rebelling and decided to get real.

2. GOD did. In person in my back yard while I was having a cigarette.

3. I do not regret it. There is no higher honor in all of existence then to be a child of GOD.

4. I find that 99.9% of Atheist and Agnostics have a very clear understanding of Jesus finished work on the cross. As long as they know where to go if they want to get real then I will let them be. They have a rite to rebel all they wish.

5. I am a Christian

For this purpose an atheist has to be more than someone who simply hadn't thought about religion before and just didn't believe - atheists have thought and positively rejected. Agnostics likewise have thought about this stuff and admit the possibility of something bigger, though in most cases accept that there is no evidence for it. No assuming that just "not believing" is the same as atheist or agnostic!

I was one and i converted. I've studied evolution and the bib bang theory. it just didn't make sense. If humans came from monkeys and other races came from other human races, why can we reproduce with a colored person but not a monkey. Also the theory of evolution is not fact. facts are observed and repeated. Evolution has never been repeated or observed by humans. Oh and i converted to The catholic faith.

Until I accepted Jesus as Lord, 17 years ago, I did believe, but I didn't have a relationship. What changed my mind was when I realized that my soul was doomed to Hell unless I accepted Jesus. I have not ever been sorry for this, even though I have been through trials. I am Christian, and I try to reach out to others.

Well..I was born a Jehovah's Witness
Then converted to just plain ol' Christian
Then I did some research and found out everyone's brainwashed.
Now I'm agnostic!
