My daughter's mother and I are divorced. Which income will they go by when they determine how much aid they will get. And whose name are the loans in?

Fasfa will ask for both parents info.. it might depend on which parent the child is living with.. if that parent makes good money theres a chance that she wouldnt qualify to recieve money.

Each parent will be required to fill out the financial aid paperwork, as each parent will be expected to contribute as much as they are able towards their child's education. The loans will be in the name of whoever agrees to take the loan out. It could be in either parents name alone, in the child's name alone (not in the first one or two years, though), or in a parent's and child's name together, it depends on the type of loan taken out.
