Certainly if I could do it without getting caught or imprisoned. I strongly believe in an eye for an eye, a tooth for tooth, even though I am atheist. No one has the right to take another's life, if they do, they should be killed. Our government no longer effectively carries this out, people sit on death row for decades, being allowed to live even after killing many people. How sick and sad.

I personally firsthand know how it feels to have someone (my own 2 year old child) killed by someone whom I believed I could TRUST at the time. And believe me I wanted the death penalty to be imposed. But it was ruled that they would spend the rest of their natural life behind bars without poss of parole. This was several years ago this happened. I have a new life now. This experience was and still has been put onto a spiritual dirtroad sometimes with a fork in the distance. I 'm thinking ok with the grace of God I know that it is not my place to appoint the (person who killed) to die. That is God's design and timing to have people go back to his heavenly realm. Everyone seems to forget that the Apostle Paul killed thousands of christians and turned to be one of the Lord's disciples. When Jesus (GOD) walked in the flesh He told Paul he was forgiven and then had the road to Damascus experience. That God himself shown a brilliant blinding light to Paul and gave him instructions even though Paul would be considered a mass murderer. So again, it is not our place to define or justifing killing persons that kill. Even if they are our children so on and so forth. I personally have felt the devil in my life and I will rebuke him and give him no credit at all. But the hell that is talked about is something that is very real, it exits, the power of Satan is here on Earth. But the Lord is waiting very patiently to come and overthrow his dark kingdom, power and principalities. So with that fact, the devil is working overtime to thrust the lives of everyone on Earth Christian or NON-Christian into a tailspin because the time is short and the only bridge to heaven is Christ. I understand the frustration you are talking about in your question. If you ask, seek, pray and you will be released and delivered from the oppression and vicegrip feeling of madness and pain and unforgiveness. The wilderness that Lord had to go into for 40 days and nights. He experienced the emotionally anguish that all humankind would ever suffer out there in the desert. But God has a plan for good and not for evil. He is NOT a God of confusion, but of sound mind, love, mercy, grace and joy. He is the only path and He will in his own timing put you on the glass highway He has designed for you. For you are set apart and deeper treasures will be revealed to you soon. We may never know the reason of why we have to endure all this pain. But according to the fabric of life there is a design, plan, reason and it will be revealed to you soon. I will pray for you and when you pray, pray with candles and incense and He will reward you for it. He will reveal Himself to you and deliver you from the tightening grip of the oppression and madness you are experiencing. HwyAng

I'd have a nervous breakdown and probably end up in an asylum. If I had the chance, I would want to hurt them very badly but not kill them. I'd want them to live the rest of their life knowing that they killed someone. Have them live with the guilt (because eventually it would come to them)...

As hard as it would be, I would have to forgive him/her. Revenge does nothing. Let the laws of the land take care of the vengence in this life, and let God take care of the judgement in the next.
To forgive them is probably harder on them than getting revenge. They would expect you to hate them. To forgive would totally throw them off.
If you do not forgive them, it's like (someone else said) drinking poison and hoping it kills the other person. You are only hurting yourself.

No matter what religion you are, murder's just plain wrong. I understand the feeling of closure you need, revenge, payback, etc, but face it: the dearly departed would not want you to do something so stupid. If you're Christian, you'll go to Hell (love thy neighbor, even if they suck), if you're pagan, the karmic damage will hurt like a mofo, and so on throughout. So just leave it. Call the cops if it'll help, talk it out, but don't kill them, even if you want to.

If I killed someone for that reason, I would probably be killing someone that someone else loved. Therefore, someone could come and kill me. Not up to me schedule justice. That makes me just as bad as they are. Make sense?

I'd make sure he was neutralized as a threat, but I'd try not to kill the murderer if possible and call the cops. I'm not going to repay evil with evil.

With my medical expertise I would make their pain last as long as possible. I would avenge my loved ones, no matter the cost.
