Only on the part of the U.S. Citizens! We can not handle the economic strain & uncertainties the MASS ILLEGAL INVANSION has put on our economy. Our health & welfare programs, our SS system, public school systems, and our prison systems have suffered greatly. Hospitals are closing and/or facing major cut-backs. Doctors, Nurses, and other employees are being fired or laid off, Public Welfare and Medicaid and Medicare is being refused to U.S. Citizens who greatly need it, same for S.S. And S.S.I., Public schools are over crowded and are receiving less Federal & State funding, And our prisons are over flowing with illegals.
We must rid our Country of all the illegal aliens, close our borders to everyone, and put a halt to ALL future immigration. We need the time to heal from the economic strains and uncertainties the illegal invasion has caused us and we need to rebuild our economy, straigten out our Health & Welfare systems, and then and only then allow a limited amount of immigrants into our Country. It is up to our Country to decide who, when, and how many can immigrate here.
The choice can longer be the choice of the illegals!

Its a civil rights issuse and the immigration been around for decades, and we need honest debate about immigration policy. The more rational reponses will come out of debate once security hype is taken out of the context. The realty is Mexico is to the South and long as wage disparities are there it gonna drive migration. Illegal Immigration occurs because are immigration laws never factored in Mexican migration, and the Green Card Lottery, and HB1 visa, HB2 visas should be abolished. Replace the whole system from the top down, and make work visa be bonded for the person wanting to work in America, and require to sign a statement that they will not seek taxpayer assistance for services while on the Visa, and put up $20,000 bond for a one year visa to work. We need Mexico wealthy to start paying taxes acutally and investing in its own people instead of wealthy look for the latest Porshe or Lotus while the majority can barely afford food. Its problem on both sides of the border, and Amensty wont solve it or deporting all illegals wont solve it.

There are good people who are just here trying to better lives but that doesn’t change the fact that they broke the law. We have hundreds of thousands of men in prison or on parole for selling drugs in which most will make the argument that they were trying to better their lives. Should we also provide them with amnesty? Most of them can’t even vote. See here it doesn’t matter how long ago you committed the crime or what type of cushy cushy life you have created for yourself, when the government catches up with you, you are going to jail. The government doesn’t care about what happens to your kids, your spouse or even your house. Why should we grant amnesty to illegal people when we don’t even grant amnesty to our own? On top of that, we don’t know the true history of all of these people. Some of them could have been rapist and mass murders in their own country. We just don’t know.
Also the comparison of this with the Civil Rights Movements is extremely insulting . There is a huge difference between descendants of forced migrants fighting for the very right to be equal in a land that has a systematic way of trying to keep them down and an illegal immigrant that has come here on his/her own will and is even able to send money back to his family, by a house, etc. There is NO comparison. It is already sad that many non- legal minorities here don’t appreciate the civil rights movement and the doors it has opened for them or even the fact that the movement has set a standard of living for the disenfranchised people of the rest of the world.
They use the splitting up families’ argument that is so hypocritical. They split up there own families when coming here. Majority of them leaves their kids in their country with a relative for years.
If one of the conditions for amnesty--and let's be clear, that's what basically being proposed here--is a clean criminal record, how will the crimes of document, identity, and Social Security fraud (and other criminal offenses often associated with these frauds generally) be addressed. Since it's likely that many, if not most, undocumented workers will have had to have committed these offenses in order to obtain employment here, how will this issue be addressed? Are these felonies or misdemeanors? And are they Class A, B, etc? It seems to me that this presents a real problem for illegal immigrants and those who advocate an amnesty for them because their assertion that illegal immigrants are not criminals is ignoring that their very presence here often involves crimes far more serious than the civil offense of illegally crossing the border.

NO! Why is it our responsibility to take care of the poor in Mexico, and other countries. That's their country, no ours. The fact that they are here for a "better life," where is it written that this is my problem?
I don't mean to sound cold but people should take care of their own issues and not shove the responsibility onto someone else.
DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS!

speaking as a Catholic the church is on a downward spiral and young little ones are leaving it for different faiths because of the fact of those liberals regulations. The priest in our church can somewhat talk English and is from Pakistan and till now that one from India and that i'm at a factor have been i'm approximately to supply up. The whites in the church are the only ones who save the church alive with their offering and finding around the parishioners I see in elementary terms older persons like myself in the final public. The catholic church is greater drawn to minorities and liberal politics than preaching the know-how of Jesus immediately.

I disagree. Illegal aliens want it to become a humanitarian issue, so that people would feel "obligated" to help them. The only humans that are being preyed upon are American citizens.
This is a foreign invasion.

It's been an issue in every country, even Mexico where they kill illegal immigrants who try to cross Mexico's southern borders from even poorer Latin countries.

Yes it has. However, it has also become a racial issue, and an issue of "Just who owns the United States of America...US or Mexico?"

Become one? It always has been one.
Do you honestly think if conditions in their home areas were anything other than terrible, that anyone would risk coming here illegally? These people cannot feed their families or themsleves at home, because there is no work or it doesn't pay enough to live on. They'd much rather be at home with their loved ones than risking capture sneaking across the border, living in canyons and fields, working hard for little money, and being afraid every single day they'll be caught and deported. If there were any way they could make a living at home, they would.
This (and more) is why things like the "border fence" are so ridiculously stupid. We're going to spend some $30 billion on a fence...we already KNOW it won't keep everybody out (that's well documented with the sections of fence already built, like in San Diego). If instead we invested that money in factories, farms, and job help in several places in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, etc. -- it'd be much more successful. With good jobs, people would stay there rather than come here. With the right investments, we could provide jobs, health care, and a good living for them AND make a profit on the items produced.
But no...our short-sided leaders want to waste all that money to build a fence that will make only a minor dent in illegal immigration. They are only pandering to the racist crowd that wants them to do something to keep all those "brown" people out of the US, they don't care anything at all about actually solving the problem.
Peace.
