Sorry I can't find a website about it. I recall there are several books by Dale Clemens about this kind of stuff. I just did a search on Amazon, and they aren't cheap (they may be out of print), but one is called "Custom Rod Thread Art", and it sounds like what you're looking for. Years ago my local library had one of his books, and I found it very useful. So check your library. Good Luck.
