You may get better feed back if you go see a travel agent but my suggestions would be Aruba, Cancun, Punta Cana, Hawaii or even better try a cruise and you purchase shore excursions, a great way to see an island and you get to see more places.......
Happy Planning

Sweet, Curacao has every single one of those things you just mentioned.
The island is relaxing, beaches are perfect for a lazy day, and the atmosphere is perfect to help you chill out.
History and historical sights?.. the capital of Curacao is one big historical sight. Museums, buildings from the 18th and 19th century, (and a few even older), the Kura Hulanda Museum (one of the best heritage museums in the world), the Curacao Maritiem museum, and many more are all located here. Other parts of the island have old plantation houses, overlooking what used to be slave houses and plantations, and much more.
Culture?... how'bout some traditional dances, or maybe some traditional foods. Swing by the Old Market (Plasa Bieu), Shete Boca, Awa di Playa, or Playa Forti for some real, Curacao dishes like stewed goat, iguana soup, and many other delecasies.
Wildlife is also everywhere. Go by the Christoffel Park for some great hiking, mountain climbing, or deer spotting. Parke Shete Boca, Porto Marie and Watamula are also great places to see.
and don;t forget to visit the Curacao Sea Aquarium. You can feed stingraus, flamingoes, turtles, sharks, and also play with dolphins. You can also go to the Ostrich farm, which is the largest outside of Africa to see, touch and feed ostriches from all ages.

The English speaking island of Dominica (not to b mistaken with the spanish speaking Dominican republic)answers to all of what u want specifically too.It was one of the main islands where Pirates of the Caribbean 2&3 were filmed.
Relaxing island-Yes-It is not overcommercialied and overcrowded..Truth is it doesnt have the big white sand beaches but surprisingly the small black and honey-coloured beaches are safe quiet and unovercrowded.Dominica was rated as the 4 th most peaceful place in the world. The island promotes ecotourism so big concrete 5-star hotels arent existing rather private villas nestled in the rainforests near rivers ,lakes and waterfalls ..which is more relaxing than that sun sand and sea vacations if u ask me.We have many natural sulpheric spas and sulpher springs spread out along the island -this relaxes the body while it get rids of toxins and any skin fungal diseases.
The island of dominica had so much to offer it is just a pity many people dont kn about it that what it is called the BEST kept secret of the Caribbean and the Nature island.
For U-We have the last Carib Indian Village of the Kalinago Tribe existing in the World..The Carib Indians are in a reserve and have a model Carib indian village along with authentic craft works that could be bought as souvenirs such as baskets...During late october is the best time to enjoy our culture as this time is our OFFICIAL Cultural and Independance celebrations with cultural/historical wears, dance, food and language competitions held by the cultural division. But everyday here is culture filled e.g-the cultural language-French patois is widely spoken by the public
For ur dad: Our Capital Roseau which is a historical site with ancient 17th&18th century French and English Architecture still being preserved. There are numerous forts and old sugar mills on island..Tours to these places can be arranged..(I wll provide links of one well known tour operator and also links to webistes about the island)
For everyone-dominca was rated as the 2nd best destination in the ENTIRE Atlantic for scuba diving and snorkelling by Reader's Choice Magazine. It is branded as the whale watching Capital of the Caribbean. It is said that Dominica is the only place Colombus would if he would return would recognise..beacuse it is so unspoilt.
The island is almost fully covered in natural rainforests, waterfalls,(so many and yet still some being discovered to this day) rivers,(365 of them)lakes(got kayaking and boat rides to those. There is so much to do horse back riding, atv riding in the rainforest, hiking or jus visiting the sites where Piratesd of the Caribbean filmed...and ofcourse our most famous our Boiling lake.It is the2nd largest in the world, largets of its kind and only one in the western hemisphere..among many other unique sites most overcommercialied places lack.

While this isn't an island, I would suggest Cancun, Mexico. The beaches are fairly nice and you can take a day trip over to Isla de Mujeres for shopping or snorkeling. You can also take a day trip to either Chichen Itza or Tulum for Mayan ruins. Tulum is on the coast and you can swim there if you wish. If you go to Tulum, you can stop at a water park on the way back (especially if you rent a car) where they have the dolphins and more opportunities to snorkel. Chichen Itza is awesome but a full day trip into the interior of the Yucatan peninsula. There are organized bus trips which include transport, entrance fees, food and stops for shopping. Cancun has quite a variety of night spots and a full array of water sports.

Oh, that's easy, just like the first answerer said, BARBADOS!
It's not only just a beautiful country, it has interesting culture/history, sightseeings, etc.. Not only that, but beaches where the sea is light blue and sand white. There's also submarine to go to and see, something like that.
There's snorkeling (sp?). Hope this helps.
