Like where you live and find out personal information about you. And how can you tell if someone is a stalker just by talking to them on the phone?

What about cell phone numbers? Can they find where you live by your cell number?

yes, they can find you by your phone number if its your home residence, if you phone number is not listed as private all they have to do is call the 411 give them your number and ask for a number reversal, the operator will give them the residence of the number. If its a cell phone you don't have nothen to worry about. to tell if he's a stalker if u ask him to stop calling and he still does....that's stalk material.

Yes, they can. They can do a reverse search on your phone number and find your name and address. It's hard to tell if someone is a stalker just by talking to them on the phone, but if it's someone that keeps calling you after you've asked them start, they are stalking you.

There are websites that allow you to enter a telephone number for a fee to find information on a person. I think it depends what's listed in the phone book that determines what information is available. Sometimes the results will come up with nothing or names are confidential and say something similar to "John Do."

Yes, someone can do a reverse phone look up. It's available on many websites. I use it sometimes to see unknown callers. I don't know about the second part, though. Sorry. But if you feel someone is actually, literally stalking you, inform the police.

Home phone numbers can be googled and will take people to a site where they can access your address and other personal info. Cell phones are not as easy

Phone numbers can be traced.... more dificult if they are unlisted but still traceable. Plus there are many companies out there that sell information for a price.
This is not a safe world..... so if you are worried...change your number, make it unlisted and don't give it to anyone that you don't trust.

you can do a reverse phone number search, and sometimes it will give your name and address where that phone is. Unless you work for csi doing profiles, you wont be able to tell much from talking to someone on the phone, unless they are very overt.

Its very easy if your number is a non private number. They can go to 411.com or anywho and your info will come up.
