I was 18 and damn happy I waited. 14 is SOOO, SOOO young to be thinking about having sex. A guy who pressures you isn't respecting you or your body and wishes. You obviously have a high opinion of your self and I applaud it. Cherish yourself and what you have, you only have "it" once and being a man's first (if he is the right one) is very special.
I admire you, sweetie.

I applaud you for wanting to wait. If the guy doesn't want you to wait and wants it now then he doesn't respect you and your feelings at all and that is probably all he wants! I was about 14 when I regretably lost mine. Way too young I know and trust me you will be so thankful if you wait. The younger you have sex the more problems you will have health wise when you get older. I wish you the best of luck and stand strong when the pressure comes on!!

My first time was when I was 15 and wish that I had waited. There is nothing wrong with wanting to hold off for a bit. This guy that broke up with you over it really isn't worth your time or worry. You made the right decision for you and if he didn't want to respect that, then his loss!

good job on wating.. don't ever do anything you are uncomfortable with.. because you Will regret it and you only have One time to give your virginity away. that guy was a loser.. but at least that shows you something about guys like that.. if they really love you they'll Wait as Long as it takes for You to be ready. i'm 17 and still have Not had sex yet. and i'm glad too.

I was 15. I had low self-esteem issues, and he was the first guy that wanted it, so I gave it up. I regret it big time! It would have been such a better memory if my first was a guy I was in love with. I dont' think that it matters if you are 15 or 25, as long as you are in love and use every form of protection available!

I was 14, with my first love on an old back road, I loved him so much I would've done anything for him, I wish I would've waited, and advise that to my daughters and others'. But I do not regret that.

I was 18. And I still wish I had waited longer. Stick to your guns and never give in to a guy just to keep him, if he loves you, he'll respect your wishes on the subject and wait.

definetly wait til late teens, 14 is too young to be even thinking about it and any guy who breaks up with you for that reason is not the right guy for you

17. hunny, 14 is waay to soon. i wanted to wait til i was in my late teens or early 20's also. 17 is pretty late... but unfortunatley, i regret it. i've since fallen deeply in love with that guy, but i still dont think i was ready to "do it." but please dont let anybody force you into doing it. youve probably heard this several times, but, make sure youre really "ready"
