I heard that choice and abstanance were, but those both involve choice which is what you're doing to stay addicted (Choosing)

Temperance--it means "moderate of appetites." It's kind of old fashioned, but a religious group that was against alcohol was called the "Temperance League."

Yep both involves choice, but literally, i think it's abstinence.

i have several..... that could be used.
They are.....craving, dependence, hang-up,obsession, hook and fixation.
