According to Islam if you believe in 5 things (the 5 pillars of religion) you are good to go.
1. Monotheism
2. Prophets
3. Imamate (Saints), (but according to the Shiat the saints are the 12 Imams that are from the Prophet's bloodline)
4. Resurrection day
5. Zakat/Charity (either by being kind or money-wise)
Also according to Islam, there are 5 acceptable religions out there whose Prophets are:
1. Noah
2. Abraham
3. Moses
4. Jesus
5. Mohammad (pbu them)
These are the Prophets who had books.
Overall there were 124000 Prophets but only 5 of them are the main ones. The rest (David, Jonas, Joseph, Jacob, etc.) were sent to remind people of a main Prophet that either came before them or is being born soon after them.
Hope this helped :)

Muslims are not very different compared to other religions.
there are some similarities and differences between religions such as Christianity and Judaism.
Here are a couple:
Similarities - Creation
Similarities - The Lord's Prayer compared to Surah Fatehah
Similarities - Quranic verses to the Biblical 10 Commandments
Similarities - Quranic verses to Laws of Consanguinity
Similarities - Basic Concepts
Similarities - Moral Code
Similarities - Practices
Differences - Basic Concepts
Differences - Moral Code
Differences - Practices
Similarities - Secularism
Differences - Secularism
Well in the Quran(islams holy book) it says no other religion is acceptable to God beside Islam.
Non Muslims may not find this true, but Muslims do

As salaamun alaikum(peace be upon you). I am a muslim revert and know that islam is the one TRUE religion. I am a revert of 5 years now. I can tell someone that islam is the true religion, but it is just hard for some people to swallow alhumdulillah. I was agnistic before this, but come to find that it was nothing but a plot of allah. There is no lord but allah. I am not the one to mock or belie a "so called" unbeliever because I know some of the things that allah is capable of doing. And that is any and everything. All is HIS dominion. All is in the hands of allah. That is why I try and tell people of the religion of islam to hope that maybe someone will take heed inshallah. Plus it is incumbent upon me.
I can tell you that, yes, islam is the only path to salvation, Ilah(GOD), paradise, safety from the torment of hell in the hereafter, truth, peace, graces of allah, etc. In islam, we do not question because allah grants answers before even asked. "And hatefull to allah is that you ask too many questions(pertaining to religion)". But it is just hard for some(not all) people to swallow.
Living a good life is not good enough alhumdulillah, but it will be credited to you highly on the day of resurection. For muslims already live the most noble manners of life. It is commanded by your ONE and only creator that you bear witness that there is no GOD but GOD and submit as muslims in islam. You must believe whole heartedly that there is no GOD but GOD and muhammad(pbuh) is HIS messenger. By saying this and believeing it, you are saying that you believe in the lord of the prophets from adam(pbuh) to the prophet muhammad(pbuh). But no, living a virtuous life does not admit you into paradise in the herafter. Though your deeds wil be taken highly into consideration alhumdulillah. I am not your lord, so I now not what allah has intened for you. And i know that this sounds like the same rhetoric talk that jews and christians say, but it is not my choice to make you believe alhumdulillah. You will one day "know" as I have. I know this can not fully answer your questions, but hope it helped a little. "Never despair of the mercy of allah". PEACE!

Islam is an Arabic word means "submission to the will of god" and i am sure you also do that. only thing matter is you don't know his complete revelation of his final wishes, so just go through Holy Quran and you will know Allah's complete revelation for you.

We believe in harmony. Al-kafirun states, "For you, your religion. For me, my religion" (sorry my translation is terrible).
Those terrorism out there are either made up or those people who believe their sacrifise is for Muslim (by terrorising others) is definitely not a true Muslim.
What you should know is that Muslim attack their enemy (in Jihad) only when the existence of the Islamic Religion is threaten, not because of hate or jealousy.

I see muslim people as very loyal and dedicated to their religion, more so than others. I believe that as long as you are an overall good person to yourself and to others, that is all that matters and what will have the most effect on bettering a society.

To muslims, the only path to salvation is islam, and islam here means submitting to God, The One and Only, so in that sense all those who believe in God and submit themselves to Him are muslims, wether they are ''literally'' muslims or not.
we believe that all prophets were muslims, and all the believers who followed the prophets were muslims (meaning that they submitted themselves to God) even though they didnt adhere to islam-the religion- as we know it today.

I am Muslim and as far as I know, the only path to salvation is believing in God. It doesn't matter if you're Muslim,Jewish,Christian, etc. As long as you believe in God and thank him for everything he has given to us you're salivated.
