Just assuming that God is real, even though evolution might be reality, just going on a limb here for a minute,
What possible holes could exist in the following theory?
We are not here because of free will, we are not here for any other reason but to learn.
We do everything our own way, we learn the evils of not obeying God. God's ultimate plan is to save all mankind.
But he knows men will never serve him till they exhausted all things in their power to try without him.
So, he puts us here, to do as we wish, & after the world is groaning under the burden of their free will decisions, we see why it is good to do what God wants.
In effect, this earth is just a learning ground. When God finally "fixes" things, we will be more than happy to obey, seeing how our own decisions caused pain & destruction.
What could be wrong with this theory, I mean, just assuming that God is for a minute, other than what if evolution is true?

So where is this god? Does he actively influence events on earth? What does this do to any free will we might have?
To get to the meat of your question: So he us just going to let us bash our heads against walls until we see that really, he was there all along?
What a jerk. I would never serve such a god.

Well, I see a few things wrong. If we are not here because of free will, then we cannot make choices, can we? And if we cannot make choices, how can we possibly do everything "our own way?" If we do not have free will, how could we possibly learn the evils of disobeying God? How could we disobey in the first place without the free will to do so?
If earth is just a learning ground, then God surely went through a lot of trouble to create something that won't be around for long. And if earth is a learning ground, why is it the angels weren't put down here? They have to learn too. They have free will too. Why do they get to "learn" in heaven if earth is nothing more than a learning ground?
God's ultimate plan is to save all mankind? That wasn't even necessary at first. Not until Adam and Eve disobeyed did there come to be a need for salvation.
He knows men will never serve him until they exhaust all possible ways without him? But that isn't true. Abraham, Isaac, Job, Joseph, Jacob and countless others served him quite happily without trying to do without him.
Parts of what you say are in fact true. God is allowing man to go his own way - at the instigation of Satan. And when the issues are settled to his satisfaction and to our benefit, then yes, God will step in and restore order. And those who have been on his side of the issue will be happy to obey him,yes just as they have been for some time now.

you make some very good points. Although we cant see God, we know he is there because of how the sun rises and sets every day, because of what we read in the Bible, because of how every day scientists are proving ( without really meaning to) that the events of the Bible are correct. If you look at nature, you can see that everything that happens, happens for a purpose. And I know for a fact that God exists, simply because when i was young, and was given the chance to start smoking cigarretts, I said no. And at the time we didnt know what tobacco could do to our bodies. But God tapped me on the shoulder and said I didnt need the cigarett. and this was before I became a Christian.
Now I look at the very people I knew back when i was young , who had taken up smoking, and I see what a wreck their life is now because of tobacco. I thank God I never started.
. I am sure you could probably look at your own life and see what things might have been like if you had done something that is now known as harmful, but wasnt known back then.

What's wrong with your theory is that when a 6-year old girl is getting raped and tortured by some evil paedophile, the detached philosophical value of your theory kind of seems like bullshit. You know what I mean?
NB I don't mean to be nasty but any entity which thought that a world in which this sort of thing happens was a valid and acceptable way of achieving something, would be an extremely sick individual. Nothing is worth that sort of suffering, and any omnipotent god could have just done it some other way that didn't involve such suffering.

You know, greek mythology taught that the Titan gods were deposed by the Olympians. Once deposed, one of the Titans made us out of mud. We are the children of a deposed god.
Best explanation for what an underachiever 'god' is.
You can decide earth is a learning ground, but a huge number of people pass through learning nothing.
It's more accurate to say there is no inherent meaning and it is incumbent upon us all to create one for ourselves.

We would soon tire of obeying Him even though life is better. Look at the history of the Isrealites. One point they were so rich that silver was considered of little worth. Yet they still strayed from God's commandments.

How about this idea. If God is almighty, meaning having the power to do anything, and he designed this world as it is, he was playing some kind of sadistic joke, or he was pie-eyed drunk.

your free will theory is bogus because people are born with free will and you can not suppress people for a long time without mass executions and prison camps because free will is something that is apart of everyone and it will make you want to be free .
