Downloading from limewire using Real Player or quicktime and can't view?

Question

When I download from limewire, the mpg or avi or mpeg files that I download, I am able to view. However anything that has to do with real player(or quick time) it downloads really super fast but when I attempt to play it, I get this default video of a girl dancing to some hip-hop music. What do I need to do to actually view what I download and get rid of the defauilt video. Have no problems using mpeg, mpg or avi. Thank you

avi formats should play on RealPlayer

mpeg / mpg formats are usually a Windows Media Player file

Quick Time has their own format as well

open the players you want your videos to play in and go into the Options section (might be Tools - Options)
and look around in each of the tabs for something that has to do with file formats and put a check mark in the file formats that you want that player to be associated with (that it will play)
click Apply (if applicable)
click OK

hi i use limewire pro i love it i also use windows media player i keep 10 or 12 thousand songs in it all time i have over 125.000 songs on cd data file will play in cd rom or mp3 player i set my media player as default when dong is downloaded i have a shortcut to shared folders on desk top i go there right click the song send to documents so i can easy email then go back righr click song and add to play list it goes in media player you can choose folder you want song in go there play song or burn to cds good luck
