How do i put a list in ABC order, excel doesn't work on my computer?

What can I use?

use MS Word. highlight all of your list and go to Table Menu>Sort

Define "Excel doesn't work on my computer"
You don't have it
You can't afford it
You actually can't run it...

Because if it's either of the first two (don't have / can't afford) take a look at OpenOffice http://openoffice.org/

put apple and ape in order. ape comes first then apple. E is before P. good luck.
