Any vegetables and all fruits as well as low glycemic carbs like whole wheat paste/breads, and whole grain breads, wild rice and brown rice, nuts and seeds.

Complex carbs such as breads, potatoes, pasta, and rice.
Fruits and vegetables are also very necessary in addition to proteins.

Complex carbs are essential.

A good general rule: if it isn't brown, don't eat eat.

Good=whole wheats/grains, brown rice, oats
