Do humans have a primal need to be in fear of something? God, Foreigners, Communism, Nuclear war, Y2K, Global?

Warming, Terrorism? Are we unhappy unless we have something rational or unrational to fear?

I do believe it's nurture rather than nature but it probably starts at birth the minute the poor kid has to leave it's warm shell and be forcefully introduced to the world, crying, blinded by the awful overhead hospital lights, AND naked. Poor little babies! It's Mom and Dad or guardian who take it from there with their own ignorance and anxieties.

I fear organized religion and the primal need for that most.

No, we do not have any such favor, in spite of the undeniable fact that we do concern concern itself. i have self assurance there'll come a time, with any success in no longer the too distant destiny, at the same time as nicely knowledgeable mankind may have conquer rational and irrational fears and adjusted them with a clean information of the actuality of our existence as made obvious by ability of technology. For now i'm chuffed adequate to celebrate Charles Darwin's birthday, my personal Savior.

No, but fear is an easy tool to use to manipulate people. The republicans would be out of bussiness if people voted their hopes rather than their fears. The democrates would be out of bussiness if other people stopped being afraid of the republicans.
