well i don't think that 20 -30 minutes to start is bad because i have been losing weight, so far 9 pounds. my doctor even said moving a little more makes a big difference.

if you want to lose weight then you have to workout for at least 1 1/2 hours a day
you workout for 30 minutes a day to maintain your weight

i would try eating from 1,200 - 1,500 calories per day

I just began working out 4-5 days a week.... 45-60 minutes of cardio. I do an encumbant bike but one that has the arms moving back and forth at the same time for 15-20 minutes, row machine for 12 minutes, and step mill (they are like a stairclimber but they look like real steps and rotate, you have to actually pick up your foot to step on the next stair) I do the stepmill for 20 minutes. My legs are getting very hard. I do arm strength training and my ab exercises. I am at the gym for 1 hour 30 minutes. I love it.

Good Luck. I didn't change my diet too much... just trying to keep it in moderation.

Good luck
