Funny you should ask that [she said, as a pre-amble to something which was only distantly related...*blush*]
My dear old step-grandfather-in-law died around the same time as JPII, and was also a gentleman of the Polish persuasion. Great-grandpa's ashes came to us (long story), and his other remains, so to speak, decided to follow. So for a while there we'd be somewhat startled at times to hear low murmuring in gentle, old men's Polish coming from behind the fridge (another long story - just why ggpa decided to take up "residence" in that particular place remains a mystery to this day.) Karol - as we were encouraged to feel free to address him - doesn't visit so much these days, and ggpa tends to wander a bit. But I find it very heartening to know that two men of similar background yet vastly different lives managed to help each other understand and become comfortable with where (or how?) they found themselves post-anima, as it were.

Of course I'd stop. But only so I could find out where those Swiss Guards get their funky uniforms. What a great outfit to wear to next years Burning Man festival!

For sure I would. Oh wait. Maybe not since John Paul died. I don't care for the other guy. Just kidding. I would help the Pope.

Na, I'd walk up to Joey Ratslinger and give him the Nazi Salute, then goosestep down the street.

Nope, I'd be too afraid the half dozen cars of security would stop and I'd get beat down.
I'd call AAA for him though.

I got some jumper cables in the car, but will have to make sure I gotta bag of grass-seed too! You know, for the ground where those guys won't "get off the grass".
Ditto.................

No, because i heard he was the devil....
I honestly heard that in church, years ago.
That when the pope died the new pope that took over would be Satan dress as a man. And he would do anything in his power to make people forget about god and begin the end of days.........................................so, if i saw him i would stop and just go up to him and kick him. Damn you satan!.......

He's an old man, I'd feel bad if I didn't stop to help. But that's the only reason.

Sure, why not?
It's a car, no matter what, and it's from good hearth to help out the way you can.

I always stop to help. I would stop for someone who is not the Pope, I would stop for him too.
