I have a few bikes. I have lent a few over the years some for very long terms. I probably wouldn't lend my best bikes.
If you were using it regularly I wouldn't be mad at all. I guess that eventually you would enjoy cycling and wind up getting a better bike and enjoying it more. At which point I would expect you to return it or lend it to someone else.

I have a midget bike that I wouldn't mind about, but the rest I'd call the cops on for your theft of my bike.
