Yes so i forgot to put 'e' to my 'bathe', sorry about that.My cat just stinks and we let him go out of the house as he likes so sometimes I just feel that he's a bit dirty. But he likes to sleep with me and cuddling when sleeping so I just wanna make sure that he's clean like at least twice a month. I live in Malaysia so a groomer might be kinda expensive, or it is really hard to find the inexpensive one...but thank you for the suggestions...

Place your cat in the tub after you have already started the water. Do not place your cat directly under the water. Do not get the cats face wet, that really makes them freak out, it's best to bathe from the neck down. Have a cup ready to fill with water instead. I always make sure I have towels, shampoo and a cup ready before I get the cat in the bathroom. Make sure to close the door in case your cat tries to escape. Just talk to your cat in a calming voice and you are going to have to pour water on the cat with one hand and hold it with the other.

I provide my cat a bath about once a month, because she likes to roll round in the dirt on the balcony. My attitude is this: I carry her into the bathe with me. My cat dislikes being immersed in water, so I basically sit down in the tub with the bathe going and positioned her interior. She would not like it, yet she tolerates it. It also helps that i began this recurring at the same time as she replaced into youthful. provide your cat alot of reassurance, telling her what a sturdy lady she is (or he's). Wrap your cat up in a towel afterwards to get the overall public of the water off, then enable the cat locate a warmth spot and she'll do some thing else on her own. do basically not enable them run around the homestead sopping at the same time as or your kitty will fall unwell. It not in any respect hurts to grant your cat a take care of afterwards both, worthwhile her for her problem. As for shampoos, definately purchase a kitten shampoo because the stuff we use for ourselves can dry out your kitty's epidermis. i do not keep in mind the emblem i take advantage of, in spite of the undeniable fact that it has a most suitable lavender fragrance to it

I have a cat that I thought might like a bath because she appears to enjoy water. She'll play in the toilet if someone forgets to put the lid down, she drinks with one paw in the bowl and she'll sit on the edge of the tub between the liner and shower curtain waiting for you to finish so she can get in the tub and follow the water down the drain. We tried the bath and two of us couldn't hold her. If you really want her bathed use a groomer. Cats don't really need it though. If we help them along by brushing or combing on a regular basis, they'll do the rest on their own.

Exactly why do you want to bathe the cat...cats bathe themselves. Unless the cat has gotten into something sticky that it cannot get out of it's own fur, there is really no reason to give him a bath. It will be a lot less stressful on you and the cat to just let him be. If it is something he cannot handle himself I suggest a professional groomer.

the correct term is BATHE. you can try it, but if you have problems, go to a professional groomer, or you will come out of it looking pretty scratched up. and don't get bit. cat bites are BAD.
grab him by the scruff and don't let go. put him in your kitchen sink and spray him down with water. soap him up and rinse. then towel him off real good. and see if he even speaks to you again .
do every step very gently and slowly. watch your water temp. keep it on the cool side, but not cold.
he may enjoy it. but be prepared if he doesn't. if you have shampoo on him and he gets away from you and can't catch him, you'll have to get him to a groomer to get that off of him. it will irritate his skin very bad.

good luck

he probably will. if you can't afford to take him to a groomer. check your local pet store for a Cat Sack. it is a mesh bag with draw strings on each end. that way the cat can't scratch or jump while you wash and rinse. unless the cat has gotten into something that is making it stink you really don't need to wash it. if it just has a musty dusty odor you can use baby butt wipes and rub them over the cat going against the hair. this is far less tramatic on you and the cat.

Yes it will. You should just take it to a groomer. It really is inexpensive. Save yourself the life time scars.

Take it to the groomer. Or ask you vet for a reference for a reputable groomer
