I'm looking for a nice, pretty, kinda romantic themeish painting or picture (art) to hang over my gorgeous red mahogany sleigh bed. I want something that sets the mood for my bedroom. I have a large silk 7ft ficus tree next to my bed, and a very pretty ecentric hand carved tripple dresser with mirror which goes gorgeous with my bed. I just need something that will set the mood. Any ideas?

When you do purchase your picture be sure to nail it securely to your wall. Being woken up in the middle of the night with a picture crashing down on your head is no pleasurable experience. That I can tell you! LOL!

Georgia O'Keeffe paintings are luxuriant, in keeping with your decor, and sensual or calming depending on your mood. I suggest two or three of her flower prints, framed in the same way, hanging immediately next to one another.
But if you live in earthquake country, don't hang any pictures over your bed. Hang a tapestry or an art quilt instead.

How about a star projector? You might be able to buy something like this at a hobby store or do a search on the Internet under Astronomy where you could buy a projector like this that projects different stars, planets, galaxies, shooting stars, and other neat space images across your ceiling. For myself, I would like a nice big red neck confederate flag to pin across my ceiling!

Put a rael nice painting of dark roses over your bed. Its romantic and calming. Or you can have a picture of a tiger, that really is sort of romantic or suductive.
