no I don't believe the saying, but some of my family members do & I just wanted to see what other people think about this. It's a nice saying though

No. It's a sweet idea though, especially if you think that they could be tears of any emotion...sadness or joy. Its nice to hear as a little kid to get you thinking about God's "humanity." My parents and I also used to say that a very small cresent moon was God's thumbnail. : )

No - when it's raining, a moist cold front has merged with a moist warm front - or some such thing like that there - and eventually the moisture in the air is so heavy and concentrated that the water falls to the earth.

That is just goofy. It rains because the water vapor concentration in the Biosphere and the lower atmosphere becomes too high and the water simply falls out of the air. This is caused temperature fluctuations primarily from air flow.

I'm sorry, but we believed that as kids. When I reached the age of 7 or 8, I started to grow out of it.

here in Oregon we get 100 inches of rain a year, when i lived in California, we only got 9 or 10 inches a year, if rain was God crying, then it would be the same everywhere, wouldn't it?

Hello. I don't necessarily think that. But I believe that if he was crying was it for joy or sadness. Or even a broken tear duct.

No, but I did when I was little. Thunder was God bowling. Lightening was him turning on and off the lights.
