Every moment we live, we have the opportunity to be offended, wronged, attacked. Isn't this our own fault for not killing ourselves before it happened?
I know, it sounds awful, but prove me wrong with logic. Please.

The point is, IF IT DID happen, isn't it somewhat our fault as well?

i think that existence is a choice, or at least largely made up of choices, and our reaction to the outcome of those choices - whatever it is that's happening (i.e. existence, reality, etc...), meerly seems to be what's happening

Were that the case, then auto insurance companies could not exist - you would not recieve only 10% of the blame just for being there at an accident (or 0% in Michigan, which is a no-fault state), you'd recieve 100% of the blame just for being there as the recipient of the action.
How is it our fault when someone else takes action against us? Why in the world would you ignore the fact that there's another party acting in the situation? To do so is completely illogical.
As human beings, we have the power to DO SOMETHING about our own situations too - this can mean defending ourselves from attack etc or taking active steps to prevent it - killing yourself is not a preventative, since, let's see, it's an attack on yourself.
Also, every moment we live, we have the opportunity to be overjoyed, helped, loved. There are many possibilities.

Fault, by it's definition, implies that you did something wrong. If I walk outside and a meteor falls on my head and kills me, it's not my fault. I was *involved*, sure, but fault implies some mistake or wrongdoing.
