Omg yes! Like every time... it's nuts. I find that it stems from insecurity and that if i offer a healthy alternative like Asian chick mud wrestling, it mitigates the animosity... Sometimes...(cuz there are those days when, gosh darn it, you just want a crab battle!)

yea my cat patches attack me out of no where sometimes. when a cat gives u a litle bite then licks u its called a love bite. what u should do is get a string and play w/it if it does attack u. try a different approach instead of saying no more crab battles try saying no and then walk away or put him in a room and leave him there and tell him i'll let u out if u stop attacking me. cats can understand humans i don't care what science says i have 5 cats and i foster more than over 100 kittens.HOPE THIS HELPS!

He has you trained. If the only time he does this is when you say that phrase, simply do not say that phrase. Something to remember, cats and dogs need simple answers. As much as we love them, that sentence is for you, mostly. Just a firm no, if he reaches for something is sufficient. I talk to my animals, but I also know that they are responding to the tone of my voice. If the cat is begging for more crab and you are not giving him more, put it away and ignore him. If he attacks you, pick him up by the scruff of his neck and place him in a plastic cat carrier and put something over it to make it dark. The cat is challenging you for dominance. If he is not neutered, arrange to have that done. That should help. Some cats respond to stimuli by aggressive behavior, neutering will relieve the cat of the need to be dominant to a great degree.

maybe treat ur cat a bit better. he probably wont attack u if u love him more. im not sure what crab battles r, but if they r bad for ur cat then he shouldnt b having them anyways. if hes a kitten, uve probably been teaching him to act like this. same thing if hes fully grown. if u just got him, get a small water bottle, and squirt him when he attacks u. WATER ONLY. most importantly - give him lots of love

If your cat is still a kitten, the "attacking" will be outgrown.
Also, you might try a gentle squirt of the water bottle (just plain water) as a deterrent.
If your cat makes you mad, then the chemistry may be wrong between you, and you should find him or her another home. Both of you would be happier. :)

I've had cats in the past that have done that. They never did it out of meaness, they were just playing. I thought it was funny, but if they would have used their claws, it would have been a whole different story!

What kind of attack? Play attack? Or mean attack? My kitty will attack my feet if they move, but she is just playing, and it doesn't hurt. It is annoying, but it isn't harmful.

He is just playing around, that is what cats do!
Don't do what these other people are telling you to do (give away or have him declawed) because that would be cruel!!!

so stop telling him that. my cat attacks at random time with no warning and inflicts some pretty bad damage.
