luv3 I think it either has to be certain people (but this question came right up) or certain key words in the question triggering a filter.

I don't often go beyond the first page. I think the questions are being delayed because the people who run this site know that many other people don't either. I think if they must delay a question it should be put at the top of the first page as soon as it's approved.

I scan through. I posted a question almost 3 hours ago and it still isn't up. I think DJ is right the question should be posted at the top once approved.

Does anybody know why this happens. Is the site moderated and certain questions do not get released until they actually read through them? Or are just certain people moderated?

Useless for me, lol... Guess you saw my 4 hour old question. I thought it was a good one, too! Even if I try to re-ask, it'll probably get held up again.

I think it must be something in the question... I've noticed on ones that the main header is vague go right through.

I like the idea of delayed Q's being put to the top of the list once they're released.

I often go back hours in the "Law and Ethics" section to answer questions where people are actually seeking legal information.

But in the mostly "dicussion-based" forums (Politics for example) once 20-30 other people have posted, I don't bother.

Good question. I think hours old questions only have a chance if someone is browsing a particular topic. Your question might show again when someone clicks the
"Show me another". I wonder if your question resurfaces on the recent list when you click "extend"?

I have recently started to scan back a few hours, so I have the opportunity to view all questions.
I just posted a question "Will you please help this man......." regarding Border Agent Ramos, who was beating in prison last month, andf it posted immediately.

The "delayed" is caused because somebody red flagged the question or they red flagged "You", because they don't like your question or answers.
