If mortality is God's punishment for the fall, why on earth would you bring more people into this world who may or may not be saved? If Christians are right, should we just all remain celibate, and repent? What sense does it make for people to be "fruitful" when life is a punishment?

The fall of man was a punishment for the moral transgression of Adam and Eve. Mortality is the consequence. Why on earth would you bring children into this world when it only continues this cycle of birth/death and no guarantee of salvation?

1) You're silly
2) People don't always bring children into the world intentionally
3) Death, not the lifetime before it, is supposed to be the punishment, right? So maybe life is worth the supposed punishment?
4) Wasn't there some mention in that Bible thingy about forgiveness and salvation on account of that Christ guy - you know, the one from whom Christians take their name?
5) Addendum: have you been snipped? If not, why?

I don't think life is a punishment I think of it as a test. We are here to give glory to God and he gives us trials and temptations to deepen our relationship with Him, and in the end for the ones He has saved God will take us to heaven and we will have eternal life with Him. No matter how many Christians do or don't have kids Christians will still be on this earth it's all apart of God's master plan.

Every new generation is a breath of fresh air. New life, new hope for a better tomorrow. Young couples who marry want to have a family, it is all part of the game of life. We lived through the hardship and so will the next generation. Christians look at life as a precious gift not a burden.

He said to be fruitful and multiply. He told us that at a time the world wasn't overpopulated, so I think we already did that. I'm really sorry your life is so pathetic that you feel its a punishment.

if we all remained celibate, wouldn't that be a punishment for god? he wanted this world and you would be ruining any chance of a future for mankind.
