I think I might have it because whenever I eat it hurts when I swallow, and when I drink water or milk or juice it hurts while its going down, and it especially hurts when I drink soda.

Strep throat is caused by streptococcus bacteria. It usually settles in the tonsils.
The tonsils will enlarge make swallowing difficult. Fevers usually go along with it. You would feel very bad in general too.
It would also make swallowing food more difficult that fluids.

It might be strep throat but at very well could just be the flu or bad cold. I'm just getting over a really bad cold and the first couple of days my throat really hurt and that was my first thought was strep throat. But I'm not a doctor so maybe get checked out. One thing that you can drink that will help your throat out is hot tea or buy some frozen orange juice, add ice cold water, then stir but make sure its kind of slushy (like a slushy) and it feels really good on the throat. Kind of massages it as it goes down. Hope this helps and feel better soon.

Strep throat have several symptoms, the usual, sore throat and fever. If you have someone to shine a light and look at your throat there tends to be white patches there. Also upset stomach can be a symptom, as always check with your Dr because to cure strep you have to be on antibiotics. Hope this helps.

If it hurts to eat and you have a white coating on your tonsils you may have strep. You may also have a fever. Anytime your throat is too sore to eat or drink you need to see a doctor.

I am a nurse in a pediatric clinic and have seen many cases of Strep. Some symptoms are, sore throat, fever, vomiting, some may even develop a fine rash to their body, mainly the chest area. it is very contagiuos, so if it is strep no sharing. see your doctor if your symptoms continue.

Pain, pain and more pain is the symptom of strep throat, along with a fever and white patches on the inside of your throat. Don't delay in getting it treated. It can do seriously bad things to your heart if you don't kill it. Plus, you'll want pain medication.

it is usually at the back of your throat and down is where the pain is, are you runnin a fever? this too could be an indication of strep....You need to see your Dr. or go to one of that last night places....you need antibiotics. But strep is very painful
