Family places to go in scarborough uk?

please tell me what fun me and my young family can do in scarborough, we are thinking about pitching our caravan there for the season.

Theres Scarboroughs sea front with tons of shops, the beach, Sea Life, Whitby, Bridlington. Filey aren't far away. A boat trip round the bay is good fun!!! Visit Scarborugh castle. Theres always Flamingo Land, Lightwater Valley for the kids and for the adults York is pretty close by discount shopping or Yorvik for the kids again.
Theres plenty to do in and around Scarborough.
Just go and enjoy it, I love Scarborough, have fun.

Often been to Scarborough,and always enjoyed the place.
Been there first without children then later with children. Always found it easy to keep everyone amused with events in the place itself,but if you have a caravan and transport it is even easier, there are so many places to visit.
For the kids Lightwater Valley or Flamingo Land theme parks, or other resorts such as Whitby and Bridlington
For the whole family York, Leeds etc.


Anyway whatever you do, enjoy it.

Well last July me and my partner went for a few day`s. We ended up staying for nearly a month even came home to sort thing`s out do washing etc. No kids though so we were eating out and pubbing it most day`s,it`s a little on the scruffy side but is having a major face-lift the beaches are clean and there seemed to be loads of kids about. We enjoyed a few boat trips and if you want a good breakfast go to the fisherman`s cafe across from the Nelson [karaoke 8 day`s a week]hotel if you go in to Nelson say hello from halifax 2. There are quite a few places you could move to if you didn't like it Filey Whitby etc.Hope you have as good a time as we did...if you decide to go.

i live in scarborough and the beach is quite fun. flamingo land is rubbish do not go there. but forge valley which you should be able to find easily enough is the best forest in the world. Also try the longest bench in the world at the train station.

Great park with boats etc. Peaseholme park.
Fair ground.
Scarborough castle
Flamingo land not far.
Whitby not far.
Bridlington, filey, flamborough.
Kinderland { great for younger kids }
