Age has nothing to do with being able to raise a child.
It's maturity that counts!

It's up to her, if she is ready to give up going out and also is ready for such commitment and responsibility then yes she will make a good mum. Also she will be able to carry on working easily. As she has more than enough money to afford childcare. All I will say is that I am not much younger than Charlotte and I wouldn't want a kid at 21.

Is 21 too young?
Only Charlotte Church and Gavin whats-his-name can decide if they are ready or not.

No she's in a long term relationship and seems emotionally stable. She has stopped drinking and smoking now that she is pregnant. I think she is setting a good example to teenagers. She does not conform to the celebrity stereotype (size 0 and brain dead blonde) and has shown great maturity in quiting drinking and smoking whilst pregnant. I say good for her and I hope she has a happy and healthy child!!

I was 17 when I became a mum and I know loads of other people who have been around this age when they became mums and we are all great mums, sometimes you can wait too long to have kids!

it depends on her personal circumstances. I was 21 when my oldest was born. I was married and my husband has a good career that enabled me to become a stay at home mom. We were emotionally and financially prepared to become parents! (we had our second when I was 23!)
Back when my grandparents were young adults, it was normal to have your first child at 19!! It has really just been since the "baby boomer" generation that women have started waiting until their careers are developed before having children.
I say, as long as you are emotionally stable, you are firmly on your feet, and you understand the life long commitment you are making when you become a parent...you are ready to have children!

What a stupid question! Of course she's not too young. She's financially sound, isn't on drugs, OK she likes a good night out but who doesn't??
I think she'll be an amazing mom she's level headed and down to earth. Age has nothing to do with it. (OK 12 yr olds shouldn't become parents but she's not 12 is she!)

Just because people have babies a lot later, on the average, these days, doesn't mean a younger woman can't be a fabulous mom. In the old days people had babies much younger.
