Yes. He was a fighter for Social Justice and for Human Rights. His main teaching was to show us to follow the best: road, the best the truth and the best way to live a Transcendent Life. It is a pity that most of the religious leaders, have changed his true teachings for others in order they may make a continuous manipulations of their followers. As a gift, I will send to you, if you ask me for it, my book "AWARENESS" Please remember the suggestion you may find in all cultures: "The Lord Bless the ones whom with sincere hearth look for the TRUTH" Please do it

My dad told me once that Jesus was the perfect blend of republican and democratic ideas...both the left and the right. In some ways he was extremely liberal, and in some he was very conservative. I think that is a good model to follow. Extremes on either side are scary and pretty foolish. I don't think that he was socialist at all. He liked organized government, and rules, but he also liked entrepreneurship.
That's what I think. ; )

I don't think you can really classify him politically very easily. I think he had some values we would call conservative, but many values we would tend to associate with socialism.
If he lived in a democratically voting country, like Canada, which party would he vote for? Something tells me he would like both our New Democratic Party (socialist) and our Conservative party - I really have trouble visualising him as a party man!!!!
He taught values like caring for one's neighbour, caring for the orphan and the widow, compassion for the sick, and actually doing something about these things. So probably socialist would be a bit closer to his views.
We need to realize that none of our political parties have it all, and all or most of them have some good things. That to me shows the value of alternating parties in power. of course in the USA, I think you have two of the same, which is unfortunate - at least you can choose between two teams of people, but the ideology is awfully close.

I don't think he ever supported a socialist government, he did want his followers to take care of each other. But the apostle Paul wrote that if a man didn't work than he shouldn't eat. Hmm.

Without a doubt, Jesus is to the left. I think people get confused because Yahweh, the god of the Old Testament is far, far to the right.

Yes, and no. Jesus would flip the bird to Washington, although as a Philosopher he would have leaned socialist.

Jesus was absolutely a socialist...why else would he tell his followers to give to the poor and that it is easier for a rich man to go to heaven than it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle?
Jesus was absolutely NOT a capitalist.

He cared about mankind , so in a way he would be socialist oriented , but I don`t think of him belonging to a particular political association.
I don`think socialism to an extent is bad at all , to take care of your citizens through universal health care and affordable education to all.

Jesus could be described as a social revolutionary, haha. Bigger than the Bolsheviks and Nazis put together, just without secret police or concentration camps.

Jesus was none of those. He wasnt concerned with politics.
Jesus mission was to save people from sin. That has nothing
to do with socialism or democracy.
