What if god actually eats our souls when we die? And he wants us to be good, because "good" souls taste better than "bad" souls? And he has been misleading everyone all these years? Can you prove that this is not so? How would you know that god is not a great deceiver, so powerful you cannot detect it?

Neither can anyone prove that God is tricking us.
We believe that God is good and holy.
His goodness and love are shown in all of His (or Her) actions from Creation until today and in our hope of the future.
We trust in the Lord.
