Tell her. She will be embarrassed for sure, but will appreciate it in the long run. You'd be doing a bigger disservice to her if you DON'T tell her. Is there any way to do it anonymously, I wonder? That might save both of you embarrassment. Good luck!

OK, tell her, but do it in a nice way...get right to the point....say it real matter of fact...Like, " Im not too sure if you are aware, but recently you have not been smelling too clean." Her feeling might get hurt and she might get embarrassed, but at least she will know that you will be honest with her. Think of it this way....if this was you, would you want your FRIEND to tell you honesty,or would you want everyone to talk about it behind your back.

This is a very difficult problem. You do not want to hurt her feeling but I'm sure it is difficult
to be around her. It is possible that she has a hormonal problem or allergies. Maybe you could both go to Bath and Body, or someplace like that and while there you could talk about your favorite sense and what is hers she may say something that would lead you to discuss her odor.

Suggest a soap that is sure to take away BO and make her or him understand that this is the latest in thing and that people like them go for it

Maybe she has a condition which causes this to happen. Maybe it's not BO but halitosis from a rotten tooth. Maybe she needs to save her money for a dentist but her bills are too high right now, maybe alot of things........but you need to know before you judge her. You're probably gonna have to ask.

it may be hard, but you need to be honest with her. I remember some years ago my mom's friend told her..one day her daughter-in-law told her she didn't know how to say it to her, but she had a slight odor about her. To make a long story short, because she swallowed her pride and was honest with her, my mom's friend went to the doctor amd come to find out she had cervical cancer and that is what was causing the foul odor. your friend may just have poor hygiene, but she may really have a medical condition causing it. please gently tell her and i hope she accepts it as it's being done..in love and concern.

good luck.

Maybe you could buy some deodorant and next time she comes over ask her if she would like it. Just make out that that particular deodorant doesn't agree with you and that you don't really want to throw it away. Say that she can have it and you are just glad its not going to waste.

The same thing happened to me and I just told her that people were going to start making fun of her if she didn't get it under control and tell her that your not being mean your just telling her the truth and you care about her.

tell her you just bought some new deodrant (secret clinical strength) and tell her it's awesome and she should try it. she'll think you're just trying to pass on something good instead of making her feel bad. you cold also do the same thing with some perfume.
