I for one, welcome assimilation.

No-one will play like an idiot when the collective sit around a (large) table and set up "Monopoly". It will be a logical and fully rational game for once. The reason I win all the time is that people don't STRATEGISE!

But... Oh no! Perhaps I'll end up joining the ranks of the incompetents and the also-rans... This is an unmitigated disaster!

We must fight against assimilation!

The ultimate hell for an atheist would be eternity in heaven. But God's merciful, if you don't want to be there you don't have to be.

Edit: There's plenty of individuality in the redeemed. God wants to replace the bad with the good, not change us into think-alike act-alike robots.

The book I sent a link for will answer some of your questions.

What if they were to meet somewhere? On a dark highway? Would it be like matter and anti-matter being in the same place at the same time? A BLOODY BIG BANG all over again - a new beginning? There's a thought?

The light of the ultimate heaven is abused to light the ultimate hell, light turns to darkness. Maybe he is asking how long will you walk with him?.

Not a change. : )

Jesus talks more about hell than heaven. We get to choose. I think He wants us to avoid hell with all our might. : )
