I have patience and faith. Just because I don't see the answer right away doesn't mean I won't get it later. I ask God to show me why in His time and His way.
When I do this my faith always grows and I'm a little better servant to God and mankind.
Sometimes prayers are answered by silence.

I wonder if I am not obedient somewhere. Usually I have an uncomfortable inner feeling at the same time.
Or, I ask God if I have unforgiveness for anyone. He won't listen to me if I am in unforgiveness. Or I check if I have criticized others who are doing the work of the Lord's ministries, or the power & gifts of God. And I check to see if I am abiding in Gods Word and Love.
But of course when I really get in trouble, is when I believe others false accusations and doubt God. Then I have to repent for not believing God is who God says God Is and that God loves me and that is what is important. And God promises to never leave or forsake me. And nothing or no one can take me from the love of God/ Christ.
For without faith it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God must believe that God Is and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.
God is never silent for long. I need to have Gods blessed Assurance to survive. Better to receive Godly discipline than to not.
And also, pray in spirit & truth. Love rejoices in the truth. So, pray to God the question, pray to God the answer in His Word or abides with His Word & Love. If it is true, you will rejoice in your spirit.

If you talk to God through prayers, he will let you know what to do. It's like talking on the phone to you friend. The more you stay on the line, the more you will understand things. So give God a call.

I don't expect God to intervene because that would be disrespectful. What God does or does not do is a mystery to me, so I leave it alone. Therefore, I am not dismayed when "God seems silent," as you say.

I trust that as He takes care of the flowers and birds etc, He will take care of me too. God is in control. I study His Word and I pray. He has promised that He never leaves us alone. If we do not feel His presence, we moved away. When God puts you in His waiting room, He is right there with us. : )

I don't believe God is ever silent. People tend to listen with their mouths and not their ears. People would rather be heard than to listen so they tend to run their mouth instead.

Get silent myself. That way I can hear God better.

Because he has his own time when he will answer prayers. And when that time comes, he will open his hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
But will you take the time to get to know Jehovah? Develop a relationship with him and his Son Jesus so that you can have the hope of Everlasting Life on a Paradise Earth?
