You don't need to identify the group you are laughing at but be honest, don't you feel good hearing some group being on the receiving end of a good joke? Aren't some jokes just so funny they must be told?

Slur? No. Joke? Yes, from time to time.

I have to admit that I find most ethnic jokes amusing. Trust me, I would be the first person to apologize for truly offending someone, but I think that most of us are just a little too sensitive these days. Political correctness demands that a person be wary of making just about any type of comment for fear of offending someone. To me, a joke is a joke. It's not a comment with the intent to offend. And the fact is, every ethnic group gets their turn at being the object of the jokes. Maybe people just need to lighten up a little bit.

My rule of thumb: Sure you can tell me that 'racial' joke. But if I don't laugh, I get to punch you in the face!

Once they think about it, they usually question just how 'funny' the joke really is.

By the way, I laugh at the funny ones!

A racial slur or joke is merely one way of expressing one's self. The joke is not the subject but simply a process of ones communicating style.

Actually, I'm really against racism or all related isms, but I can't help finding so many racial/other slurs absolutely hilarious.
