Sometimes it seems He is silent.
Sometimes He waits patiently so that you ask yourself some hard questions. Are you listening? Are you penetant? Are you distracted? Is what you are requesting of Him not in His will? Are you looking for answers too hard? Are you the guy who rejects the boat, the rope, the pontoon and the helicopter and drowns in the flood?

In my walk - it has been my experience that the more I pray and commune with Him, the more the answers are right in front of me. It's pleasantly surprising most of the time.

There are 2 sides to this.

Side 1 = God does not exist so cannot tell you what to do.

Side 2 = God exists but will not tell you what to do as that is the reason He gave you Free Will.
YOU decide on your actions throughout your life and then are judged when you die.
Live right and you go to Heaven, Live with evil intent but are truly penitent and you go to Heaven.
Live Evilly and do not repent your sins and you go under the auspices of the Fallen Angel Lucifer, The Star of the Morning.

Whichever Side you choose, the decision is yours on where, when and what to do with your life, as well as with who, and the reasons why you do what you do.

Living by your morals works for religious and non-religious.

He does, He's given you a whole book about it and what's more you can talk to Him and He will talk back to you. On the other hand, you have a choice or a responsibility to build your relationship with Him and the closer your relationship, the more you will know what pleases Him and the way He wants you to walk. Lifes never simple.

God does communicate with people via other people and in so called coincidences and sometimes intervenes directly like He did with me when I tried to commit suicide. He is also gracious and forgiving.
If you are truly seeking God's will He will guide you and you will know it with absolute certainty.

He does, just listen. He will talk to you through His Word, through people and circumstances. Find yourself a church home where you are spiritually fed. Make it stronger by your service. : )

Spend time studying His Word, and pray. Give it time. : )
