i introduced my girlfriend to the rest of my family friday. (She had met my folks but now she met my brothers) ok, we were watching TV and i offered for her to sit on my lap, and she was like "uuhh uhh naw" but you can hold my hand" and i asked her about that later and she was worried that the rest of the family would disaprove of it. (she was worried about first impressions) and she said it wasnt me, just other people. either way, i was worried. is this something i should be worrying about? this really bothers me for some reason. should it?

your opinion?

the reason this bothers me is because that is the first time i offered for her to sit on my lap. (generally i just have my arm around her)

No I see nothing to worry about. It shows that your girlfriend was being considerate and wanted to make a good impression to your family.

no it shouldn't...some people are more shy around family then others. If she just wanted you to hold her hand so she would not look bad to your family by sitting on your lap...that is cool.

be cool...

it's actually a great sign, because she wants to look respectable for your parents. it's nothing to worry about.

I don't think you should be worried. Just ask your family how they think and you won't be guessing.
