What if there is a God and he has set the rules in a double opposite. He created rules which can not be followed. To see if we will create new better ones or blindly follow the bad teachings among the good ones.

He made the rules because NONE of us could follow them, so He gave us a way to not suffer the price for breaking them. It was an example of our condition, to show NONE of us can do them all our entire lives and not make a single mistake in it. To show we needed to be saved from our fate. Enter the Son of God, Jesus. He took the punishment of death so we could enter into heaven. Our body may die, but we will not be put into hell because we have been made clean.

You should TRY to follow them as best you can, be relize also you will make mistakes and sin eventually. When you do, look up and see the one who kept you from the punishment and give thanks. Just accept the gift offered to you, it's that easy.

I think it may be more like Zen. The teachings are impossible to follow intellectually, but that is precisely to get us to look beyond the intellect to the source of mind.
