I saw a show on National Geographic a couple years back about the Triangle, and if I am not mistaken they did find two of the planes.
From what they said the flight leader was out of Key West so when they developed a problem he reverted back to what he would have done while in Key West. He flew East to reach the coast, which since he was over the Atlantic, flying East took they farther out to sea.

Good Q mate... It would appear that flight 19 were lost Big time!!
There had been probs with instrumentation within the cockpits of the said planes? The planes were never found but tidal waves and attributing weather within the Triangle it's not a surprise they were not found!! I feel Human Error was the cause of this Disappearance!!

For e.sillery: when they finally checked the numbers from those planes, they weren't part of Flight 19 after all. The story I read claimed the numbers belonged to planes that had been dumped from a carrier. As to the original question, I think the only evidence was anecdotal.

No. What the promoters of the Bermuda triangle bulls**t will not tell you that is that the leader of Flight 19 had got lost three times before.

Yeah. They found a group of "Flight 19 Truthers" which claimed Dick Cheney was responsible for the disappeared aircraft.
